Alvaro Palacios - L'Ermita 2023

L'Ermita 2023 is the flagship wine of Álvaro Palacios and one of the world's finest expressions of Priorat DOQ. It comes from the historic L'Ermita vineyard, a Gran Vinya Classificada located in Gratallops, where century-old vines grow on the region's distinctive llicorella (slate) soils. The 2023 vintage, shaped by an exceptionally dry growing season, resulted in a very limited production of approximately 4,730 bottles, while retaining remarkable freshness and balance thanks to meticulous vineyard management. The wine is composed of 84% Grenache, 13% Carignan, 2% Picapoll and 1% traditional white varieties (Grenache Blanc, Macabeo and Pedro Ximénez). It is aged for 13 months in large French oak foudres, followed by 2 months in concrete tanks, preserving the purity of the fruit and the authentic expression of the terroir.
