The only Catalan wine awarded the Grand Gold Medal at the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes 2026.

TOCS 2009 · Grand Gold Medal at the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes 2026

TOCS 2009, from Terres de Vidalba, is a wine that captures the deepest essence of Priorat and the value that time brings to a great wine. This vintage was awarded the Grand Gold Medal at the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes 2026, a prestigious international competition dedicated to wines from mountain and heroic viticulture regions.

In this edition, TOCS 2009 was the only Catalan wine to receive this highest distinction, an exceptional recognition of its quality and ageing potential.

Produced in Poboleda, within the DOQ Priorat, TOCS 2009 comes from the vineyards of the Barranc de la Bruixa estate, owned by Terres de Vidalba. The blend combines 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah, two varieties that express the character of Priorat and its distinctive llicorella slate soils.

More than fifteen years of ageing have allowed the wine to develop remarkable depth and complexity. Ripe fruit combines with spicy, balsamic and mineral notes, while the palate offers structure, freshness, mature tannins and a long, persistent finish.

TOCS 2009 is a fine example of the ability of a great Priorat wine to evolve elegantly over time, maintaining its character, freshness and personality.

A wine especially suited to lovers of aged Priorat wines, special occasions and those who appreciate wines to be enjoyed slowly and thoughtfully.
