View:
The color is a beautiful dark purple, almost black, with elegant ruby reflections.
Nose:
The wine opens on the nose, and the first expression is of very small fresh black fruits, black currant cream and caramel, accompanied by cedar from Lebanon and cocoa.
Mouth:
The palate is soft at first, before revealing all its depth and density. It evolves fatty, fruity, with flavors of raspberry and sweet spices. The chiseled tannins allow it to show a delicate touch until its finish, which is long, tasty and juicy.
Serving temperature:
Serve at room temperature, trying, if possible, to open the bottle the day before.
Consume:
If necessary, open and decant the bottle at least 5 or 6 hours before tasting.
Pairing:
The velvety and silky texture of La Fleur Pétrus 2018 will combine very well with roast veal with Périgord Noir porcini sauce, herbed lamb saddle or pan-fried kidneys with mustard sauce. It is also suitable with uncooked pressed cheeses, such as Gouda, Cantal or a mimolette matured for several months. Very tasty, serve it with a chocolate dessert, such as a fondant.
